Album Review // LNZNDRF - LNZNDRF

In 2015 I did some work for the upcoming, to be announced band LNZNDRF. Their name at the time was Lanzendorf, deriving from the German town (Lanzendorf), and the last names of the band members (Ben Lanz, Bryan and Scott Devendorf). Ben is a current member of Beirut and the National and the Devendorfs also are current members of the National. At the time of my design I had heard zero of their musical material. But now, you can finally get hold of it under their new name, and new album, LNZNDRF.

But under their new name, and new members (no longer including Kyle Resnick [a member of Beirut and the National]), LNZNDRF has gone through some giant changes over the year. Their music is a play on old German "Krautrock" to typical indie rock style, drawing parallels to The National (greatly showing on the track Beneath the Black Sea). Overall, LNZNDRF has grasped me tightly with interest.

I'm giving this album a 9/10. Definitely worth checking out due to its mellow rock tone thats just nice to sit back and listen to, or even take a nice drive with friends with.
See you next week!
